Another NDP Campaign Vacation

This is too much! The day after Ekos ridiculously predicted the NDP would win 100 seats (including 51 in Quebec), we find out that yet another Dipper is on vacation instead of campaigning. The Quebec candidate is in Las Vegas, as the party says candidates cannot be expected to cancel or reschedule vacations to run for Parliament (ironic considering the NDP helped force this early election). This was not discussed on the CBC's National tonight, despite the NDP being discussed at great length. What they did discuss on the National was that the royal wedding is this weekend, so political parties will struggle to get media attention (Milewski notwithstanding). There may not be any movement in voter preference. We could be locked in, and the Liberals are in trouble.

NDP candidates must be feeling lucky. Jack might want to try his luck at the roulette table.

  1. The orange wave still needs to translate into "actual votes" and then "actual seats" within the HOC

That is a reality not only for the NDP but also the Liberals and the Conservatives

  2. Anyone suppose that EKOS' Frank Graves is trying to create a self-fulfilling prophecy?

  3. This is a single mom who had booked her trip before the writ was dropped. I see you left that fact out...

  4. Christian...they have cancellation insurance for that very reason. PULEEZE - don't play us for fools. you might be able to fool some people with that kind of logic, but it is VERY clear what is happening here.

  6. Will any ndp candidates in Quebec on May 3rd to find out they won and be very surprised. I doubt many of them actually thought they had a chance and were only running to get 2.00/vote for the party. Wonder if that 71 yr old female actually want to go to Ottawa.

  7. And Layton slammed Ignatieff for missing parliament, when his own candidates are missing campaigning for their seats in Parliament.Hypocrites.

The National was too busy with their smear campaign last night with Wendy Mesley and Mansbridge on nice guy Pam Gill , trying to help the nanny-gate Ruby Dhalla Liberal in Brampton.

  8. Ah, just imagine Libby Davies as Finance Minister. She'd be like that single mother: no cancellation insurance (ie, foresight), placing one's self before the nation, and wasting money (gambling?) when we're in a precarious financial position. Yeah. That's the NDP in a nutshell.

Why hasn't anyone taken Layton to task on the fact that he has one of the largest expense accounts in Ottawa?
