Are We All Canucks?

On Thursday before the start of the Canucks 2nd round playoff series against Nashville, Stephen Harper made a rare appearance on a local Vancouver sports talk radio show and said that the whole country is behind the team. In this same show, one of the guests talked about how there were a significant number of people in Calgary sports bars cheering for Chicago in game 7 on Tuesday. Another said that many people in Toronto were not cheering for Vancouver, which is now Canada's last team in the playoffs.

So are we all Canucks? That is today's poll question; are you cheering for the Vancouver Canucks to win the Stanley Cup?

  2. No.
How can you not cheer for a Bruin team where two over time goals come from a guy named Horton.

Bobby Orr was the best player ever.

  3. Go nucks.

Time you had your cup. Habs fans are the worst. (How many cups did you win?)

  4. I always cheer for the remaining Canadian NHL team but as a decades long Roughrider fan I still can't bring myself to cheer for Edmonton in the Grey Cup.

  5. This isn't the olympics. The Flames have had a bitter rivalry with the Canucks for years so for a passionate Flames fan cheering for the Canucks is like taking a shot of cod liver oil. It galls me how people who don't regularly follow hockey lecture me on who to cheer for based on their belief that we should all cheer for a team on the premise that it's a Canadian based team. Here's a newsflash, Mike Fisher, David Legwand and Jordin Tootoo are way more Canadian than the Sedins,Ryan Kesler, Hansen and Samuelsson. Go Predators!
