I fully endorse David Frum as a man of opinion in North America. I put him on the same level as Andrew Coyne, whom I once endorsed as my go to pundit in Canada. Einstein once said originality is the art of concealing your sources, but the following article did inspire me to take a public position against the possibility of a Palin run at the Republican ticket in 2012. My past opinions are well documented in my archives, so I neither plagiarized or hijacked Frum's words. But I read this article that he wrote and said to myself, I need to write more about this.
I thank you David Frum, for doing what you do.

Of the many Liberals who visited my site, the vast majority of them voted against Rudy and Mitt. What does that tell you? The left wants Palin on the ticket!
ReplyDeleteAnd also for interest sake, when Canadian Cynic sent his minions to my blog, there was a sharp increase in the "end of the world 2012" vote.
ReplyDeleteIt is about context. C.C thank you for the traffic. I bet you that I convert at least a few... Educated Libertarians can cut through the Liberal right flank like hot butter on your breakfast toast!
Serious question: Which of David Frum's views makes him a conservative Republican, let alone a Republican at all? Whenever I've read his writings or heard him speak, he sounds like he would fit perfectly into the Democrat Party (or Liberal Party here in Canada). Nothing wrong with that, of course, but I simply don't understand why he pretends to be a Republican.
ReplyDeleteI have an open mind. Please enlighten me.
