"Please remove "The Iceman" from the Blogging Tories"

This is a discussion board thread on the Blogging Tories site, www.bloggingtories.ca? If you want to kick me off, I am not about to shut up. I have voted Conservative in every election that I have ever voted in. My sisters babysat the children of Mike Harris! Do you really want to create an enemy in me because I am strongly opposed to Sarah Palin being on a Presidential ticket?

Holy shit, give your heads a fucking shake!

  1. You want to block me from the Blogging Tories? That is insane!!! I have been hammering Ignatieff relentlessly since I joined the Team, but disagree about the viability of Palin and I will be banned? This is crazy! If you want to ostracize the center, go ahead. But if your desire is to turn a popular voice against the Conservative Party, do so at your own peril.

  2. Blogging Tories is not affiliated officially with the CPC in any way... and I don't think anyone at the discussion forum is taking Hoffer's 'suggestion' very seriously. I don't think you've got anything to worry about.

  3. Right, when I compared Bob Rae to the Chief Engineer at Chernobyl, Raging Tory laughs. But say Palin is not qualified, and hell's furry is justified.

  4. Does the Conservative Party want to lose the center?

  5. I think Sarah Palin has a lot of admirable qualities and she is certainly being crucified in the media, but I don't know if I would support her as a future Republican nominee.

I don't think this is a radical stand.

  6. I disagree with your position on Palin, but I don't see why that has to end up as a fight. Justin is acting like a spoiled baby about this.

    So....

Who do you think is going to start in goal for team Canada at the Olympics?

  8. Dude,

    A) I think that no-one else wants to remove you.

    B) Becoming a Libblogger for that reason is lame.

    C) I agree with you that Palin would be a poor candidate and that it is delusional thinking to support her as a candidate. Simply because of all the crap she attracts and her inability to defend herself against the simple minds like Kate Couric. The right needs a candidate like Reagan who can express right beliefs in a simple manner and has the charisma and humor to turn their insults against them. (I hate to harp up Reagan but he deserves credit.)
