As much as I loathe the Mac (I am a PC), I do love my I-Pod. As someone who does a lot of writing, I always listen to music as I write. Depending on the theme of what I'm writing if a particular song helps to muse my way along my platinum bricked road, I put the song on repeat. I-Tunes has a neat feature where they count how many times you listen to a song. Tonight I reviewed my standings, and I decided to make a blog post about it. Here in descending order of frequency, are the top 10 songs that I have listened to over the past 3 years.
10) The Times They are a Changin' by Bob Dylan: "Come writers and critics who prophesize with your pen, keep your eyes wide the chance won't come again"
9) Hit Em Up by Tupac: Sometimes you need to "Battle Rap"
8) I Won't Back Down by Tom Petty: What I listen to when others demand that I back down.
7) Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi: I'm half way there...
6) Rasputin by Boney M: What I listen to when I write about Iggy...
5) Lazy Sunday by Chris Parnell: This song wakes me up every Sunday.
4) Hypnotize by Notorious B.I.G: Will be somewhere in the movie about my life.
3) Asshole by Dennis Leary: "I'm just a regular Joe with a regular job. I'm your average white suburbanite slob. I like football and porno and books about war."
2) We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel: My song when I'm writing about the world.
1) Stuck in the Middle with You by Stealer's Wheel: "I've been trying to make some sense of it all, but I can see it makes no sense at all..."
