Parliament Gets It Right On Homolka
I was glad to see our nation's politicians put aside partisanship in the last week of this session of Parliament to reform the pardon process before Karla Homolka could possibly be granted a pardon. The same people who pardoned Graham James cannot be trusted to sit in judgment of Karla Homolka under the current regulations. It is a shame that she got her plea bargain before they discovered the video tapes that showed her own eager participation in these terrible acts. Now if only we could convict her of another crime then we can put her back in federal prison where she belongs.

You gives a crap what her plea bargin was ?. If she was a willing participant, then she's guilty. Screw prison, electricity is cheap.
ReplyDeleteThe opposition parties were afraid to be on the wrong side of this Bill.
ReplyDeleteThank God we live in civilized Canada and not some other Country where the released and free as a bird Homolka would be in danger from some nutcase taking the law into his/her own hands and shooting Homolka dead.
ReplyDeleteYes, it sure is a good thing "Carly-Curls" is in NO danger whatsoever.
And it was SO much fun watching chickenshit politicians who'll normally trot out the high sounding phrases to justify their stance, cave in completely in the face of overwhelming public outrage.
Whether they are as disgusted by the pardon system as the rest of us is open to question, but they sure as hell are interested in not having the Homolka case bite them in the ass next election.
