I just read this article in the National Post about this new "global warming" targeted advertising campaign and I am pissed off. I want every Blogging Tory with Google to write down these names; Environmental Defence, ForestEthics, the Polaris Institute and Equiterre. I want to know how they were created, where they are getting the money for this PR war, but MOST importantly, I want to know what their forecast models were saying 5 years ago. 10 years ago? 20 years ago? If they were wrong then, they are just as likely to be wrong now. It was always about global socialism. Glenn Beck was right back in 2006 when he did his "the Kyoto Treaty in a couple of minutes."
And yet here we are about to be invaded by an army of these PR activists who are attempting to scare your children into socialism? I suspect that I will be writing about this a lot in the next few weeks. I hope the advertisements spoofing the idiocy of the pending campaign are already in the works. To my fellow Blogging Tories, we may need to work together on this one. We are faced with a Public Relations “Blitzkrieg”, so it will require an appropriate response of fact and opinion. Let's put up a stronger resistance than the "Maginot Line".
A fun little exercise for all the people going back to work on Tuesday, if you can carry a tune, try quietly singing a little Simon and Garfunkel around the office place as we are setting all these record cold temperatures. Paraphrase of course "where have you gone global warming, (insert city name) turns its lonely eyes to you!" As it turns out, world temperature cycles up and down regardless of how many miles we drive our cars.
