Yukon Gold Rush

What is the name of that book about the boy who follows the trail of the "Yukon Gold Rush" and then starts playing hockey? It is Whitefang meets Mystery Alaska. The name of the book escapes me, but I read it as a child and loved it. On one hand it embraces the love of our national sport; on the other it embraces that entrepreneurial spirit unique to capitalism. Adam Smith embraced ambition and consumption as the founding principals of modern economics. What motivated all those young entrepreneurs to make the long march to the Yukon once upon a time? Ambition. The spirit of ambition is what propels capitalism forward, where socialism endeavours to restrict success and reward failure.

It is the spirit of this book whose name I cannot remember that should assist in realizing my dream of bringing NHL hockey to the Yukon!
