If it has not been pointed out already, we are in the 30th anniversary of the 9 month rule of Joe Clark. Every Canadian who turns 30 between June 4th 2009 to March 3 2010 were born under the rule of Joe Clark. We are a very small fraction of Canadian society, but we are the the people turning 30 right now. I entered this world under the stewardship of Joe Clark. I made it. I'm one of the lucky ones...
We also might have been the first generation to have computers in our classrooms beginning in early elementary school.
So to the "Joe Clark generation", I say Happy Birthday!

ReplyDeleteI agree with Anon. We worked hard campaigning for the Tories against Trudeau, only for that buffoon Clark to blow it in a few short months. The result was a useless and costly metric system, Mickey Mouse constitution, NEP,etc.
