Bring down the hammer on "balloon boy" dad

When this story first hit the television, my initial response was mostly apathetic. But as soon as I learned that the father was one of these "reality TV junkies", the alarm bells started ringing in my brain. These people who crave fame, fortune, and their faces on television; who reduce themselves to the lowest denominator in this never ending quest to become famous. Why couldn't these people have just gotten famous the old fashioned way with a sex tape? Some fame seekers today just won't embrace the porno, and instead need to concoct these elaborate publicity stunts to attempt to snag the media's attention.

We need to bring the hammer down on this dad to send a message to the other fame seekers who have begun plotting their own media stunts to get their faces on Larry King Live, and God willing their own reality TV show! Even if you can't prove the dad made his son hide in the attic, at least charge him with having dangerous flying devices not properly tied down. At least get him on a safety violation and endangering the lives of his children, if you can't get him for deliberately misleading authorities on an unnecessary goose chase.
