Why I would legalize prostitution

My reasons for supporting legalized prostitution are similar to my opposition to polygamy, oddly enough. To put it plainly, young men need to get laid. There were many social conservatives who applauded when I wrote about Polygamy, "it slowly becomes more and more difficult for males to settle into pair bonding, increasing the number of young males full of piss and vinegar without an outlet to release their "steam". Large numbers of young single males can be very dangerous in a society." I'm sure everyone appreciates the behavioral differences in men who are horny and trying to get laid versus the calmness of a man who just had his "pipes cleaned".

I understand that we are navigating "shallow shoals" with potential moral hazards, but I believe it benefits society to increase the availability of sex to males. Look at what sexual repression has done to Islamic males and Catholic priests! I know that any parent with a daughter likely opposes prostitution because they would not want their child embarking on that career path. I have a niece entering breeding age, and I would be mortified if she ever became a professional hooker. I do empathize with parents. And yet, if a woman wants to screw for a living because they can earn more money than they can doing anything else, that's their choice. "Free to choose."

The biggest problem with consensual sex for many adult males is that you must first convince a woman to want to have sex with you. This can be a remarkably challenging endeavour for many men. It can drive a man crazy, and often does. Either nature or God engineered mankind to desperately desire sex, and our programmed response to not attaining that programmed objective is seldom positive. Women are complex organisms who often require very specific courtship rituals which are not clearly outlined in a user’s manual. Jesus Christ, thousands if not millions of men would find it an easier task to climb Mount Everest than to convince a woman to willingly enter their bedroom. How many men commit suicide each year for no other reason than they have been rejected by a woman? I would make an educated guess that number is higher than most people realize.

Do we condone the agony and suffering of millions of men because we don't want our daughters or nieces to enter the sex trade? I say let's put 50 parents in a room. 25 who have a daughter that they don't want to become a whore, and 25 who have had a teenage son that has dealt with severe depression because of failed courtships with women, and see who wins the argument. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
