Prince of Persia
I recently had the pleasure of watching the film The Prince of Persia, and I must say that if you are looking for a movie to rent this weekend you should enjoy this Disney venture. I am generally not a fan of Jake Gillenhall, but his performance in this role was solid and I recommend watching the film if you enjoy the fantasy adventure genre. Great action, a strong storyline, two thumbs up. In another fantasy action movie, Ironman 2 was alright, but not as enjoyable as the Prince of Persia.

Ahmadinejad thinks he's the Prince of Persia.
ReplyDeleteI liked Agora about the city of Alexandria and a woman philosopher who was killed by religious extremists. Wonderful cinematography and a film about ideas. While the extremists in this film are mainly early Christians the shots from the back of women dressed in blue burka-like coverings and other shots are deliberate echos of the Taliban and the hatred of any questioning of the one, true religion. A great director and good acting with the beautiful Rachel Weisz.
