I hereby demand that Heritage Minister James Moore resign effective immediately! The CBC for years has refused to answer Access to Information requests about their cost expenditures, and he is the Minister responsible for the public broadcaster. Access to info has been impeded, and the Minister responsible must resign. The people want to know how the CBC spends their billions in parliamentary appropriations, and the CBC has refused to hand over the documents. Is the Prime Minister's office involved in the CBC refusing to hand over expense reports? Possibly, so why isn't this being investigated?
Of course you may have sensed the sarcasm in the paragraph above, intent was to point out how the Liberals are complaining about Christian Paradis and not James Moore. On one hand they are sanctimonious about access to information, but on the other don't seem to care that their friends at the CBC aren't complying with their ethical standards. Granted a judge recently ruled that they must answer the inquiries, so we will see if they comply. Incase you haven't figured it out already, I am not demanding that James Moore resign. I think he is a fantastic MP, one of the youngest Cabinet Ministers, and one of the bright rising stars in the Conservative Party.
Liberals can get f**ked.
ReplyDeleteI liked the irony. James Moore should require the CBC bosses to explain in front of a committee whey this Crown Corporation is above the law.
ReplyDeleteI am not a lawyer but the Minister should give them 24 hours to comply or ask for resignations of the entire board including all the executives.
How about a list of all the Ministers the Liberals have said should do the honourable thing and resign in the last few years:
ReplyDeleteMaxime Bernier (Booby-Gate)
Lisa Raitt (Sexy-Gate)
Christian Paradis (Access-Gate)
Bev Oda (Flu-Gate)
Jean-Pierre Blackburn (?-Gate)
Peter MacKay (Belinda-Gate)
Tony Clement (Promo-Gate)
John Baird (F-Toronto-Gate)
Gerry Ritz (Cold Cut-Gate)
Jason Kenney (Tamil-Gate)
Gary Lunn (Olympic Logo-Gate)
Gordon O'Connor (Red Cross-Gate)
I can't even remember half of them...
you forgot Guergis,
ReplyDeleteI agree with CanadianSense. If the heads of a public broadcaster refuses to obey both the Access to Information rules and the judgement of the courts, they should be forced to resign.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how two-faced the Liberals can be. Worse yet that the media does absolutely nothing to hold them to account for anything.
Oh, come now, Surecure, the poor bedevilled media just can't go shootin' their collective mouth off about Liberal malfeasance and misdeeds now,as much as they're just dyin' to do so, Uncle Jean will come and get'em and choke'em all. NO QUARTER
