Overcrowded Prisons?

It was amusing to read Liberal cheerleader Gloria Galloway decry the Tory "tougher sentencing" legislation as creating overcrowded prisons. This is somehow supposed to prove that tough on crime bills are creating torturous conditions for criminals. Aren't the Liberals criticizing the Tory plan to expand prison capacity? I recall the Liberals approving "tougher time for serious crimes" legislation, which would inevitably increase the need for prison cells, then slamming the government for planning to spend more to increase capacity. The left is flip flopping over all sides of this debate. At least Galloway is acknowledging that our prisons are overcrowded, which justifies the need for more capacity. Yet the Liberals are complaining about the proposed increase in capacity when they voted in favour of legislation that would increase its need??? Another Iggy Flop.

This is all based on an ombudsman report that said our prisons were overcrowded, which prompted Galloway to blame Conservative tough on crime legislation that put criminals in prison longer. Liberals, are you tough on crime or cynical of prison time?

  1. The prison system here in Canada need an overhaul by Sheriff Joe Arpaio. It would do wonders for the number of convicts returning to club fed conditions.

  2. The Liberals decry the the current state of Canada's prisons..crumbling and overcrowded, yet they refuse to support the building of new institutions..

Liberals, and the left in general, have no interest in keeping your family safe.

  3. If you guys want to cough up 9 billion dollars to imprison 'criminal' like brothel owners and MJ grow op operators, go ahead. Actually, scratch that, you can go to hell. Those people aren't criminals and shouldn't be imprisoned.

  4. Go fuck yourself anon.1:45pm With chickenshit, no dick weasels like you around there would be nobody in prison.

The answer? Shoot shovel shut up.

If there's a grow op in your neibourhood? Well....it's not unusual for mysterious fires to break out in grow ops....and once the fire dept discovered it's a grow op the insurance wouldn't pay. That would cost stoner-boy a few hundred thousand - a lot more than any court would do to him.

Catch somebody breaking into your business at night? Teach him how to play baseball with your brand new bat - then let him go. Calling the cops is useless.

  5. Anon: The law is on the books for brothel people and Mj gro ops whether you like it or not. Until that changes it is an indictable offense.
You can't have it both ways, so which is it? Those who don't agree are always whining. And the beat goes on. Hmmmmm.

  6. The left doesn't want grow-op operators(who are part of the chain to push drugs on our kids)punished but they are perfectly OK with having Omar Khadr walk our streets the moment he returns.

The disease of the left slowly infects and kills anything it touches.

Why do they hate Canada so?
