Best Leslie Nielsen Movie?

Today's poll question for those of us mourning the loss of Canadian comedic icon Leslie Nielsen, what is your favourite of his movies? The 4 top contenders are obviously Airplane and the Naked Gun trilogy. The one talent that Nielsen had above all his contemporaries was the ability to act completely serious when being completely sarcastic. That was his gift. I will vote for the second Naked Gun as my favourite. Leslie, you will be missed.

    I think his best appearance was his three guest spots on Due South. Partically in Due South's 4th episode Manhunt. His appearance was critical to the show as he mentored Paul Gross to take be comfortable with the role and wear the red serge properly. Compared to Canadian TV today, he brought real humor and character to this classic TV series.

    I can't vote for Airplane, eventhough it's my favourite out of that list, because LN was only a supporting cast member. I go with the Naked Gun as he was the star of that movie.

    And seriously, Men With Brooms in a list of his funniest movies? That is a typically unfunny Canadian produced POS IMHO.

    Naked Gun is my favourite, but Bert's "Forbidden Planet" is up there too, scared the hell out of me walking home in the dark after watching that one at the Rex Theater.

    Saw Leslie once on "Celebrity Jeopardy". He smoked the other, much younger contestants,quick mind,and thumb!

    I'll go with Airplane.

    I remember seeing him in episodes of Hawaii 5-0 and MASH. In another more "serious" role he played the Captain on The Poseidon Adventure (1972; the one with Borgnine).

    Try to get the 6 episodes of Police Squad that aired on ABC. It is classic Nielson.
