I was sure that Elizabeth May was from London Ontario, at least until she was a Nova Scotian. Then after she was rejected for parliamentary representation by Londonians then Nova Scotians, she blew town and has found a new home. On Friday I heard her on Vancouver talk radio talking all about being a British Columbian, and a tax payer against the HST. I don't know if she has lived here long enough to pay provincial income tax, but the leader of the Green Party is now against consumption taxes. I know a little bit about global green initiatives, and I thought one of their goals was to reduce consumption? Marx believed consumption was the root of all evil that corrupted people with want for material possessions. Isn't a consumption tax a great way to reduce consumption? Make it more expensive to buy things, and people will buy less. Lizzy isn't being very green.
What is this now her fourth attempt at winning a different riding? She has never run in the same place twice. Now she is riding her adult tricycle up and down Vancouver Island calling herself a "British Columbian". Remind me again Liz why you aren't a Nova Scotian? An Ontarian? It has been less than a year since she decided to run in Saanich, when she abandoned the people who volunteered all those hours for her in Central Nova, and now she is just trying to ride a populist wave against the HST for her own personal gain. The leader of the Green Party cannot be against consumption taxes because one of their goals is to reduce human consumption!
I can't be the only one who sees through the bullshit on this one.
