I find it curious that anybody would be out there defending Mel Gibson right now, but that isn't stopping Ezra Levant from marooning himself alone on an island. If you listen to that entire phone call and your first reaction is to try to defend Mel, you have problems. I suppose Mel had every right to be angry, because he deserved to be "blown" in the jacuzzi; and that it was denied to him justifies his threat to blow up the house. If she gets raped by a pack of *racist expletive deleted*, it will be her fault. Look, he didn't find out that she had fake boobs until after he knocked her up, so he has every right to be angry.
Or as Ezra wrote: "I wouldn't want to be spoken to the way Gibson allegedly spoke to his ex. But I am also equally sure about what's going on here"
There is nothing allegedly about it Ezra, it is all on tape, and it is completely crazy. Listen to the clip where he says that she must give him a blowjob before he blows up the house...

She's obviously a gold-digging bi*ch. Mel is angry in the tapes because he feels used. For all we know she might have been equally emotionally abusive towards him off tape. The whole tape ambush was carefully staged to make her look calm and composed while making Mel seem like a lunatic. The fact that Mel's ex-wife and his kids are supporting him testifies to the fact that this Russian girlfriend's accusations are suspect.

He took responsibility for and apologized for saying that Jews control the world and are responsible for all that is wrong and brought the Holocaust upon themselves. And people, even Hollywood people like Whoopi Goldberg, forgave and defended him.
But he has chosen not to speak out about this. Once, maybe. But this shows it is deeply rooted in his character. Worse, he admits to violence and threatens more violence.
Why do you absolve him of his own words? Should individuals be taking responsibility for their own actions?
I may not think much of him as a man, but I still believe that he is a damn fine actor. I don't watch his movies because of his personal life, I watch for the acting, the role and the story of the film. As such, I really don't care to know the man personally.
