In Harper We Trust

I have been running a poll among the Blogging Tories to measure Prime Minister Stephen Harper's approval rating, and thus far it is sitting at 96% approve. I know how CBC pundits like to muse that a Jason Kenney coup is right around the corner, but alas it won't be today. There is not very much dissent within the Conservative ranks, unless it is about the HST which fortunately Iggy signed off on. I recall how angry the Liblogs were when Iggy punted the HST as an issue, which they saw as a potentially winning issue. People don't like paying more taxes when they buy things.

I strongly support Harper's leadership of our country. I am excited that this man has his hands on the steering wheel. I am proud to have Stephen Harper represent me on the World stage. Well done Sir, well done indeed.

  1. Yeah, but Joe Clark is not happy!

Heck even Tom Flanagan, Kim Campbell thinks this Conservative government has made mistakes!

Clearly with these three icons available for reflection in the deep well of CBC conservatism: we can safely conclude that Harper is scared and the Liberal Party with their well thought out detailed platform are only an election away from forming the next government.

Canadians just need to wake up and realize how democracy has been destroyed and we are in mortal danger of becoming a fascist state!

Liberals believe in smaller governments, less taxes, more individual freedom and responsibility.

Clearly the NDP, Bloc and Green are just background noise in contrast to the Liberal juggernaut.

Trust the CBC, Toronto Star, Parliament Press Gallery to educate us on the heartbeat of those "Canadians".

  2. The HST should of been used to lower taxes with its implementation and help break down trade barriers between provinces.

Instead, and as expected the Liberals in both B.C. and ontario used it as a major tax grab.

Though I don't think the HST is the problem but how they dealt with exemptions and of course the outrageous tax hikes.

Did they even offset business taxes? Though it wouldn't matter for some since they got tax hikes where as others did not.

They say they lowered income taxes but its more helpful to also lower business taxes as well.

If only Dalton and Duncan didn't spend us into this mess into the first place (prior to the global hit).

The HST is going to be a cash cow. It won't kill the economy but it'll hurt some sectors/businesses and jobs more than others.
