Helena Guergis: "Baby you can drive my car!"

Beep beep, beep beep, yeah! I am shocked at the latest allegations being reported on the CBC about Guergis-gate, that she and her spouse shared automobiles! This is an outrage! How can such a grievous miscarriage of social justice be permitted in our proud society? Somebody please file another ethics complaint, because frankly if we allow such horrors to be perpetrated against humanity, we all suffer. Thankfully we have Margo MacDermitt on the case!

Oh hold on, Question Period is on TV, I wonder what they are talking about?

(*extended pause*)

Yup, that's what I thought.

I couldn't help but notice that the opposition would ask a question, and then as soon as a Government Minister stood to answer, they started screaming immediately such that you couldn't possibly hear the answer! Must we force Minister Baird to scream himself?  Can you not at least hold the jeers until after the question is answered? When you ask a question, do you not want to hear the answer? There are two ways to deal with this juvenile rabble rousing; 1) don't talk while the other side is screaming, sit down until they shut up, 2) do what John Baird did and speak quietly such that the answer can only be heard if the opposition quiets down. I did like the Speaker's joke about the Transport Minister's microphone not functioning properly today.

Everyone knows it is standard procedure in the art of question asking to immediately start screaming at the person whose opinion you asked for as soon as they begin speaking. I always make an effort to scream at people after I ask them questions.

PS: If you are unable to detect sarcasm, this site may not be for you...

  1. It gets worse Ice, it was discovered after an in depth investigation by Lucy Warman, that they gasp, shared the tooth-paste.

This toothpaste was purchased using taxpayers dollars, extorted from the slave-labor-like taxation foisted onto the poor workers in CUPE.

Sid Ryan is likely going to call for an investigation by the RCMP

  8. Iffy is making a big deal of Helena allowing her spouse to use her government supplied car when he needs it.

Iffy doesn't own a car. I assume his spouse gets around Ottawa on the bus.

  11. I don't know where the liberal national media like CBC CTV ETC get their credentials as reporters from. Because Iceman, a 'true' reporter would not stand for the garbage response from the 'opposition parties'- in fact, a true reporter would be on the liberals' case demanding the repayment of our missing millions and demanding why the liberals took $56billion from E.I funds to use it as they liberals wished and whats worse and downright insulting is that, we canadians had to repay it by higher premiums implimented by Paul Martin.
The amazing thing is, there was no recession at that time. Yet again, Paul Martin is a liberal therefore he was entitled to do as he pleased.

Unfortunately no such reporter on National Media exist.

For this very reason we have taken to the blogs to help one another in research and to recapture the innocent canadians who were and continue to be used and manipulated by the National Media.

What National Media? they are pundits puppets and pied pippers to one another.
Thank goodness for decent radio hosts like David Rutherford, Adler, both Lowell and Roy Green(not related) and many others like them.

  12. In conversation with Dan Matheson on CTV Newsnet this morning, Robert Fife gave us some revealing information. If there is any doubt that Fife considers himself an integral part of the opposition, he just clarified it himself in the statement when he said "we" as being an inclusive part of the opposition. Robert Fife is too experienced a journalist, to not select his words carefully, to give viewers the wrong impression, so we must conclude that what he said is what he meant - he had many opportunities to correct himself all morning if he had wished to do so since the report was carried numerous times. We can't assume this was a Freudian slip.

In regards to the Guergis affair and Question Period Dan Matheson asked Fife

Dan Matheson - "Did the opposition get any satisfaction yesterday out of the government - did they get any more information - were they stonewalled?

Robert Fife - "The only thing we got is that there was a third party that came to the Prime Minister with these allegations"

  13. Marlene Jennings is vulnerable on another front – they do have a lot of nerve to be critical but MSM covers for them rather than exposing them as the frauds they are.

Marlene Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce–Lachine) – Jennings’ own husband, Luciano Del Negro, was appointed by the Liberals to the Immigration and Refugee Board (Canada Gazette, Vol. 139, No. 22 — May 28, 2005)

  14. Spouses of MPs should get all of the perks too. It is mean to do otherwise.
