I am a Blogging Tory, and I am outraged that I have never received a cash stuffed envelope for promoting a Conservative agenda! According to Scott Reid, I should be getting paid for this from party coffers, everyone else is right? Scott Reid, the gift that keeps on giving. I almost feel like I should send him some kind of gratuity for all the mileage I've travelled on beer and popcorn. I have probably made 700 beer and popcorn jokes since Jan 2006, and his infamous "kill him kill him dead" statement in the Globe and Mail about Prime Minister Harper may have helped murder coalition Governments indefinitely (in combo with the Dion press conference).
I suppose we Blogging Tories should be happy that the CBC has decided to restore the public voice to this harbinger of gloom and doom. He makes for an excellent target, and his propensity to make loud, aggressive, and ultimately foolish public statements has been a great benefit to the Conservative movement. Beer and popcorn was as Iggy might say, a game changer. I suppose this has to set up a new poll question; which goof would you prefer to be making loud public statements on behalf of the Liberal Party? I assume that the CBC is paying Scott Reid, just as they are now paying Kory Teneycke for a similar role. The difference between Scott and Kory (other than political affiliation) is that Kory is not a lunatic.
