Ignatieff Borrowing Ideas From Economic Action Plan

Here's the dilemma. You are Liberal leader Mike Ignatieff, your attempt to try and think up something new at Thinkapalooza was a bomb, you have a very shallow talent pool on your bench; and you are desperate to present good policy initiatives as your own ideas at the many town hall meetings you are skipping sitting days of Parliament to attend. Don't worry, I plan to delve into Liberal attendance records in the 3rd session of the 40th Parliament tomorrow (the Libs have 13 of the 16 most truant MPs, with Iggy at the top of that list c/o wilson).

Right now I am more interested in Ignatieff's latest big idea, providing high speed internet to rural Canadians. Did he think up this bold idea for himself, or did he simply open up the Economic Action Plan? You can decide for yourself. I can even empathize with the people I despise; I mean where else is he going to go for ideas? Ujjal Dosangh hasn't had anything bright to say since he demanded the resignation of Glen Clark (whom he promptly and quietly replaced as Premier). Anyway Mike, if you are looking for some more good ideas, I can direct you to a great website.

  1. These networks are already in the process and who knows, maybe he found that out in Western Canada and moved East where the population and SOCIALIST provincial govt has made EVERYTHING so top heavy and things aren't moving as swiftly?

This guy is an arrogant, absent misfit and the last thing he strikes me as knowing a damn thing about is "high speed" anything. These are talking points imo and would appear to be a sales pitch for very isolated regions of central Canada.

These companies are cleaning up and Ziffy will just make them richer when they already had a market....so typical!

  2. Wasn't it Brian Tobin in his incarnation as a federal Liberal who originally floated this idea about 20 years ago ?

  4. Fresh from his plan to market grain, soybeans, canola, beef, and pork at farmers markets, Iggy promises to hook up rural Canada to the net. Didn't someone, (Chretien ?) already promise this about 12 years ago. Next week he will be promising universal daycare for the farm folk.

  5. Rather think this has already been done to some extent in Alberta - without federal 'help'
