Terry Milewski: The CBC's own left wing version of Geraldo Rivera

Each time I see him on television these days, Terry Milewski reminds me more and more like the CBC's own left wing version of Geraldo Rivera. On most days he simply reports the news, but occasionally he sits down to attempt trying to tell you what the news means. These are the moments when the windows to Terry's own personal opinions are opened, and we get to have a peak behind the looking glass.

Geraldo has almost become a symbol of ludicrous reporting, where he will frequently sensationalize unspectacular scoops. It would be comical to watch Terry pursue this path where he is becoming a satire of himself, if not for the fact that his salary is subsidized with tax dollars. As a tax payer, I do not want any part of funding the Terry Milewski experiment. I much preferred the gal he replaced Susan Bonner. She at least tried to appear non partisan, however fleeting that effort may have been.

Today as an analyst on the Soloman Show, Terry said that we should not accept information from Afghan officials, even if it leads to a kidnapped journalist. He again repeated his assertion that the redacted portions of the released detainee documents do not contain any information relevant to national security, even though he can't possibly know what was written on all the original documents which are being reviewed by Justice Iacobucci.
