Did anyone else notice Wednesday that the opposition parties voted in unison to add a massive tax to the purchase of iPods and Mp3 players? Yes, the Liberals, the NDP, and the Bloc are forming a coalition of taxation and they haven't even formed government yet! I'm sure many Canadians will be concerned to see the Liberals collaborating with the NDP on tax policy, and that many moderates may want to re-think their voter preference. Fortunately for all of us, the passed motion is non-binding. We won't be forced to pay this tax; I'm sure the first of many to be produced by Liberal-NDP-Bloc collaboration.
In more Liberal taxation news Wednesday, Iggy said that he wants to start charging Canadians levies for health care services; at least until Donolo told him it was bad policy and Iggy changed his mind. Big ideas cost big money. They need to pay for their policies somehow. Health care levies and i-Taxes are just the beginning...
Last time Liberals told us Dion was the leader Canadians needed - Liberals ended up stabbing Dion in the back themselves and turfing him off into the ditch

First he supports a carbon Tax then he opposes it
First he supports a coalition then he opposes it.
First he supports user fees then he opposes it.
And the list goes on - I sincerely hope he is just visiting because he has nothing to offer Canadians and really doesn't know where he stands on the important issues of the day. He is more involved with door knobs , Wafer Gate etc.
Ignatieff's juvenile antics are even starting to p--s of Don Martin of National Post and that takes some doing. In his column Martin writes

Priorities have been a problem for the Liberals.
ReplyDeleteI think its safe to say the green shift is still the Liberal agenda. They will do it Obama style. Run our country into the ground with spending and then claim they had no choice but to make a carbon tax among other taxes.
