Do You Care About The Juno Awards?

That is today's poll question. Personally I won't be watching and couldn't name with certainty any winners from the last 10 years. Michael Bubble probably won one or two. Drake is a big deal. Didn't Justin Beiber cut in front of Tony Clement in line at the airport once? At least the Junos are a few notches above the Gemini Awards, which have become a joke and should be abolished. Any crap green lit by the CBC can win a Gemini in one of about 10,000 categories. At least Juno winners have to sell a few albums. Do you care enough to at least find out who won, if not watch the show? William Shatner is hosting this year. He's hard to book.

  1. I don't give a toss about any awards.

  2. It's just another excuse for celebrities, or wanna-be celebrities, to pat one another on the back. That said, while it may not be important to me, it is certainly important for these young people who are trying to make their mark. Just because these folks talk in a language I don't understand, or because their music isn't my music is no reason to begrudge them their moment in the sun.
Rock on...or is it rap on...kids! Enjoy!

  4. They can pat themselves on the back and award each other whatever they want so long as they don't demand that I pay for their celebration, or support their hobby with my tax dollars.

  5. What "Thucydides" said.

The only good thing about awards shows is the amount of cleavage displayed.

  6. The only Juno I care about is Juno Beach and we all live the reward that is made possible by the sacrifice that happened there on June 6th 1944.

  8. What are these awards? Is this some kind of show for cataleptic disorder people?

  9. The only people who would care about the junos, watch them or even blog about them are liberals. The only people who would care about the junos, watch them or even blog about them are liberals. Hey Ice can’t you come up with something better? Maybe you should link up with the liblogs or something. Seriously! We got some major issues in Canada such as the rise of radical Islam, selective abortion, crumbling health care system and an immigration and refugee policy costing tens of billions a year and your talking about shit like the cbc junos!

  10. The only time I've ever enjoyed an awards show, apart from ogling all that cleavage, was when Ricky Gervais blew the little sensitive minds of the "stars" at the Golden Globes last year. the Hollywood set, used to being ass-kissed to an absurd degree, were in a state of shock. Lovely to watch.

Too bad the Juno awards are NOT named after Juno Beach,THEN maybe I'd watch, but in Canada, we revile old soldiers while we laud "peacekeepers" and put them into the Senate.

The Guys who landed at Juno were most assuredly NOT peacekeepers.
