If Ken Dryden is a Rock Star...

...then what does that make Ignatieff? During today's Montreal Canadiens loss, Iggy Tweeted "Walking with Ken Dryden in the Bell Centre was better than walking with a rock star! There is electricity in the air!" And for all the electricity that Ignatieff's attendance brought to the building, there sure wasn't much spark in the Habs offense as they lost 3-0. I was actually pleased to see Montreal lose, lest Iggy start Tweeting himself credit for the victory.

For some holiday weekend fun, I'd like to do a poll on what Iggy would be if Ken Dryden were a rock star. Would he be a roadie? A groupie? Someone in the entourage living off the celebrity of another? I would like to listen to a few suggestions before I launch the poll.

  1. Looks like Iggy's lame attempt at one-upmanship on PMSH and the Nickelback and Taylor Swift photos. It's a real nah-nah-nah-nah-nahhh moment.

  2. Iggy has kids right? I find it odd that we never see him doing anything with his children. Shouldn't he want to show Canadians that he's a responsible dad? Does he even talk to his kids?

  3. Ron McLean's fawning 2nd intermission "interview" with Dryden was sickening free Liberal Party advertising by the CBC. Dryden was a great goalie; interesting as an MP? Nope.

  4. Ken Dryden was a hockey legend but is proving to be a one industry wonder and politics wouldn't be that thing.

However if he was a rock star,it would be as a has been and Iffy would be the lousy manager that can now only manage gigs at the local bowling alley.

Sorry but my hero worship of Dryden died when I watched him become a Liberal and subsequently behave as one.

  5. Two kids by his first marriage,Theo and Sophie.

Apparently Theo has learning disabilities,as Michael spouted off about cuts to special needs funding by the Conservatives.

Didn't I tell ya that Ignatieff would jinx the Canadiens? Geez, today they played like THEY were ahead 2 games to 1. I expect Philly will roll over them in the next game, and we'll have a Philly-Chicago final. That should be a good hard hitting series, and I hope Chicago wins.

  7. "Iggy has kids right? I find it odd that we never see him doing anything with his children."

Remember the battering Stephen Harper took over not hugging his children or holding their hands - and yet no one ever reports on Iggy's relationships.

  8. He left his kids and first wife for wife #2.

It is my understanding his ex-wife was unhappy with him leaving to take a job in the U.S.

    children Theo b 1984 and Sophie b 1987, First marriage to Susan Barrowclough (1977-1998);

  9. The best reply I saw to Ignatieff at the Habs game came ironically from CBC's Scott Morrison:

"Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff sitting behind the losing bench. Enough said"

  10. I wonder why Jane Tabor has not reported on his kids? Remember when PM Harper was first elected, she followed him around "yakking" about him walking his kids to school - shaking Ben's hand instead of kissing him... I wonder what she thinks of Iggy deserting his kids or at least never showing them to Canadians! I am sure she feels that is better than associating with them, because he is a liberal and can do not wrong....

  11. Theo was 22 when Ignatieff ran for Liberal leader and I can't find any mention of him anywhere.

Did he keep his fathers name or dump it?

Same for Sophie who was 19 nothing about their father running for leadership of party or PM.

His second marriage took place within 12 months of his divorce?

  13. If Ken Dryden is a "Rock Star", how come he still owes $200,000.+ for his leadership campaign?

If he's that lousy with his own $ and budgeting, what would he do with tax payers?

Did these 2 guys pay for their tickets last night?
