Sorry Google...

Google Blogger seems to be having a bit of a dispute with Microsoft, as Blogger is no longer accessible through Internet Explorer; the message goes "your browser is no longer supported by Blogger". They want me to start using Google Chrome, but unfortunately I am a fan of IE and am not changing my preferences just because Google and Microsoft are having a technical dispute. So for the time being, I'm shutting things down until I figure out my options. Wordpress seems to be the best alternative, though I have to look into the logistics of transferring a library of 2,500 posts.

  3. I haven't used IE is years, I didn't even know that anyone did anymore. I thought it was end of life a long time ago. Is it still supported by anyone other than Microsoft? Safari, Firefox, and Chrome are all significantly better browsers. I only use Safari personally.

  4. Howdy Iceman. Sorry I'm signing in as Anonymous rather than powell Lucas but this Google Blogger is such a disaster I finally dumped everything Google from my computer. I tried sogning in for two days and finally gave up. these Google wizards inform me that my password id not valid yet when I went through their change password B.S. I thought I would enter my existing password just for the hell of it. Google informed me that I couldn't use my existing password? Same thing with Google chat. When I try to install the video function all I get is a message saying Unknown Installation Error. Checked on line and found out this has been an angoing problem for people for at least two yaers and Google ignores it. Google Maps blue-screens my system. They should have stuck with their search engine only. Nothing else they do works worth a damn.
    Comw back soon.

  6. Ice -- I have been using Wordpress.com for years. Support is available 24/7. The only thing you have to pay for is "no ads" which is about $30.00 a year. If you need any help, just contact me via my Contact Form at Crux of the Matter.

pragmatictory.wordpress.com or iceman.wordpress.com may even be available.

However, don't delete your blogger. Just do a transfer to the new domain address.
