Are Budget Cuts Putting Your Life At Risk?

Today's poll question; are you concerned that government budget cuts are putting your life at risk? That seems to be the running theme lately of the CBC "ballot box" questions. They even have an article about challenging the scrapping of the gun registry that includes a picture of a gun pointed at the viewer (where have we seen that before?) Basically the message is that government cutbacks are putting your life at risk. Do you agree? It should be noted that the CBC is hardly an unbiased observer, as they have been whining about their own budget cuts. They are trying to help sell the story that government budget cuts are bad; but hey, if I were receiving a hefty government salary, I'd probably be saying the same thing.

  1. Ha! The opening headline on the Soloman Show was "putting Canadians at risk". Is "Connect with Mark Keilly" being cancelled also putting Canadians at risk?

  2. It is the same old union propaganda. I hear on the radio while driving to town this morning some union spokesman claiming the same thing, as though they give a hoot for the safety of citizens. As for the CBC even with all the excess fat the cuts they chose to make didn't come close to touching any of the fat.

  4. Wasting money on crap like the CBC means we have less to spend on health care and other actual life saving services.

  5. This is self inflicted. They should have cut the CBC budget in half this year and to zero by next year.

  6. CBC hacks and flacks just can't understand that it's not "Government money", it's Canadians money. Damn parasites think our money is rightfully theirs.

  7. I had to laugh at the union guy for CBSA last night saying that cutbacks will mean fewer border guards. Of course its pure BS. Otherwise why are theystil hiring?
